Neighborhood Medical Center

Neighborhood Medical Center is a federally qualified health center that has been serving the Big Bend Community since June of 1974.  Neighborhood Medical Center is dedicated to taking care of all persons in need and no one will be turned away regardless of their inability to pay for services.  We have locations throughout Leon and Gadsden County and serve other counties as well.

  • Clinical Administrator: The position is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the organization and clinical labor management.  The Clinical Administrator is also responsible for supervising and evaluating all nursing staff, as well as for the recruitment, retention, and training of the LPNs, medical assistants and case managers. Additionally, the Clinical Administrator is responsible for the Quality Improvement for the clinics.  The incumbent develops nursing objectives, policies, and procedures, and directs the implementation of these objectives. This position works under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer. 
  • Dentist: The position is responsible for providing dental services in the primary care setting to patients at Neighborhood Medical Center.  This classification provides holistic health care to a diverse population of patients in a primary care clinic setting. Within the individual specialty, the Dental Practitioner is responsible and accountable for managing a dental health services. This includes: assessing and diagnosing problems; developing a plan; providing treatment, education, consultation and referral; evaluating efficacy of treatment; and serving as an advocate for the patient. The Dentist is limited to providing service to clients for which he/she is educationally and experientially prepared and for which competency has been maintained.
  • Medical Assistant: The medical assistant performs administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other practitioners running smoothly.  The medical assistant is responsible for triaging patients, working with the providers and documenting in the clinical record.  Also responsible for updating HEDIS and other quality measures at each visit.
  • Intake Specialist: The intake specialist is responsible for answering phones, checking patients in and out each day and documenting communications with patients in the clinical record.

Job Summary:

  • Reviewing clinical practice by developing and participating in medical records audits, peer review, and other practice review activities.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by the American Medical Association with a Doctor of Medicine Degree. 
  •  Certificate, successful completion of an approved program of residency training in family practice.

Brevard Health Alliance

Brevard Health Alliance, Inc. is Brevard County’s only Federally Qualified Health Center.  We operate eight clinics and a mobile unit from Titusville to Malabar, serving over 55,000 patients annually. Our objective is to provide a primary health care home for our patients.   By offering services on a sliding-fee scale, BHA has provided primary care service, behavioral health services, limited dental services, diagnostic services, resource management services, medication assistance, and specialty referrals to Brevard County’s economically disadvantaged residents since March of 2005.
