The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

OPEN ENROLLMENT for 2018 coverage is from November 1, 2017, through December 15, 2017.

  • Florida victims of Hurricane Irma may be eligible for a Special Enrollment through December 31, 2017.
  • Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands victims of Hurricane Maria may be eligible for Special Enrollment through March 31, 2018.

You can enroll for 2018 coverage even after Open Enrollment has ended if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period or if you are applying for Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Over the past years, FACHC and its member Federally Qualified Health Centers around the state have worked closely with the leadership of Florida to improve our ability to serve more patients. With recent Affordable Care Act funding, we have expanded services
through increased site locations, and apply funding for more center hours of operation and Emergency Room diversion projects.

We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with our state and national leaders, and with the momentum of the Affordable Care Act, we will be able to expand access to cost‐effective and affordable health care to more patients in Florida communities that need services.
